Starting a home automation project for a total technically challenged person is as difficult as it gets. There is no standardised solution acceptable to most people, as this technology is in a relatively nascent stage. There are myriad products, programs, softwares, applications and service providers that claim to provide a solution for everything but filtering through this smorgasboard is going to be the real challenge. My aim is to install a fully integrated system that is as automated as is technologically possible with the current technology while at the same time being user friendly.
